ASYMMETRIC Over the bed but not (directly) over the patient

Often the center ceiling over the patient bed is precious real estate needed for other equipment like a lift rail. But mounting a fixture pair outboard of the bed also has other practical advantages. The light source is not positioned directly in the patient’s line of sight. And the asymmetric illumination means that someone standing on the side of the bed – like a caregiver – does not cast a shadow on the bed. The multi-function asymmetric pair delivers comfortable patient lighting, effective exam lighting.
